1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies like localStorage and sessionStorage that do not expire between sessions.

2. Cookies we use

a) Essential / Functional

These are required for core site features and cannot be disabled.

• nt_cookie_consent – Stores your cookie consent choice so we don't ask again every page.
• nt_theme – Stores your chosen colour theme (dark / light) in localStorage.
• nt_favorites � Stores your pinned tools on the home page locally in your browser so they remain saved between sessions.

Note: Shortened URL history is not stored locally on your device or in cookies.

b) Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which tools are popular. GA4 may set:

• _ga – Distinguishes users (expires 2 years).
• _ga_* – Persists session state (expires 2 years).
• _gid – Distinguishes users (expires 24 hours).

Analytics cookies are only activated after you give consent. If you decline, GA4 fires in denied-consent mode and does not collect identifiable data.

3. How to manage cookies

• Browser settings: All modern browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies under Settings → Privacy.
• Our consent banner: Decline non-essential cookies when you first visit. You can withdraw consent any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting.
• Google opt-out: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no universal standard for responding to DNT signals, so we do not alter behaviour based on DNT. However, your consent choices always take precedence.

If we add new cookies or change how we use existing ones, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
